Ancient Round Crystal Beads with Handmade Silver Clasp

The necklace is 22 ½ inches (57.3 cm) in length. The necklace weighs 41 gm.
A necklace of forty-five rock crystal beads from the Swat Valley area of what is now northern Pakistan. The beads are spherical and graduate in size from the front of the necklace to the back. The beads at the center-point are 1 cm in length and 1 cm in width. The drill hole diameter is 1.5mm. The smallest bead at the back is 3.2mm in length, and 4.2 mm in width, being slightly oblate. The drill hle diameter is 1mm. The beads have been drilled almost all the way through and then drilled through the small remaining portion from the other side. This prevents the popping out of the last small portion which would then leave a scar if the drilling was done straight through. The beads are around two thousand years old. The clasp and beading tips are Fine (999) silver.
