Description

 

A necklace of thirty-three cylindrical, bi-conical and tapered barrel shaped carnelian beads alternating with thirty-four bi-conical disc shaped lapis lazuli beads. Each of the lapis lazuli beads are faced with a granulated 22k ring bead of two tiers circlets of eight grains each. There are seventy of these beads in the necklace. The clasp and matching beading tips are also 22k gold. The carnelian beads vary slightly in form, but are basically long cylindrical tubes. The center bead is a rounded, long barrel-shaped bead, 1.5 cm in length, 6mm in width at the center, and 4mm in width at the ends. The drill hole diameter is 1 mm. To the left is a carnelian of similar form, 6mm in length, 5mm in width and with a drill hole diameter of 1.2mm. The smallest carnelian bead is 6.5 mm in length, 3.3mm in width and with a drill hole diameter of .9mm. The lapis lazuli beads also graduate in size towards the back of the necklace. At the center the bi-cone shaped disc is 3mm in length and 5.9mm in width. The smallest lapis lazuli bead is 2.3mm in length and 3mm in width. The drill holes are 1.5mm.
